About Crown Symbols
Four of the eight characters here come from the chess set, and that turns out to be useful. ♚ ♛ are the black king and queen; ♔ ♕ are their white counterparts. Because each piece exists in a filled and a hollow form, you get a two-tier hierarchy out of the box — a solid crown for a leader, a hollow one for an officer — without needing two different symbols.
Building a Rank Ladder From Two Weights
The pattern that works is consistency rather than variety. If you need more than two tiers, the complete chess set on the royal symbols page extends this into six ranks. Give the filled pieces to the top tier and the hollow pieces to the second, and a member list becomes readable at a glance: ♛ Founder, ♕ Officer. Nobody needs the convention explained; the weight difference does the work.
All four are monochrome text characters, so they take the colour of the surrounding text. In a Discord member list or a leaderboard, that means they pick up the same colour as the name they sit beside instead of interrupting it.
The Other Four
👑 is the emoji crown — full colour, fixed artwork, and by far the most recognisable of the eight. It is also the one most likely to be rejected by a game name field that filters emoji.
⚜ is the fleur-de-lis, a heraldic lily long associated with French royalty. It is a text character and works well as a divider as well as a rank marker. 🏵️ is a rosette, an award decoration rather than a crown, and 🏶 is its solid-fill counterpart — same idea, heavier weight, and also plain text rather than emoji.
